The total from the auction was £1,180!! I'm not sure I want to put up what everyone has ended up paying, because it sort of doesn't feel right. Certainly 2 of the bidders have said they would prefer not...

As 1 of the winners we are not interested in letting people know what we bid especially since "they almost bid". In addition when people spend their time taunting other people about how much their new "items" cost without revealing costs I certainly am not interested in satisfying their curiosity.

Reading the post from Malcolm I'm guessing that maybe at least one post has been deleted here. It was a great night and we had fun with the auction. Stella, Sulasmum and myself ran the show, and we've never done an auction before, so quite an experience. It made it all the more exciting to have "secret bids" from IHDG'ers scattered around the room, and it was great to watch the bidding wars (all very friendly of course!). When Sulasmum announced "Gone" and Stella rushed off to take the winner's details there were great cheers and lots of jumping up and down. My friend Selena had the vicarious pleasure of winning the H Tobago donation. ;D Thank you again to all our wonderful donors, of auction and raffle items, and to the great people who put in their bids and brought tickets. xxxx

I suggest that if people want to know what each item went for they come to the next one, and not mope around wondering 'what if'.
Plenty of notice was given as to where the boogie would be held, when and how much so no excuses

Um, I think Malcolm is referring to a certain "Guess the cost" thread It was all for charidee at the end of the day, so prices paid reflect not only the value of the item but also the generosity of the individuals who bid. It doesn't really matter how much someone saw fit to donate to charity now, does it? Anyway, nuff said ;D It was a great night, I loved the auction, it was so exciting! You all did so well in running it, Sulasmum was a real pro at the auctioneer's job!

Lol, completely missed the 'guess the cost' thread and I was only curious as wanted to bid on items but being a student, had no money - didn't realise it would be a big problem as so many DGers there and so know what the items went for anyway. But its no big deal tbh, I am not bothered - you are entitled to your privacy, I was only joking around. Well done all, and I am already saving to come to the next Boogie
