Hi I'm new to Dg & live near Henley on Thames.
I have 2 horses & 2 ponies from a 12hh 34yr old to a 15.2 10 yr old.
I mostly hack & keep horses fit for my husband & daughter to do more exciting things! Started doing Trec last year which I enjoyed.
Anyone out there near me??

Hi Polly and welcome to the DG. We're in Northants so we're not close by but I'm sure there are other DG'ers who are. I've done Le Trec a couple of times and really loved it.
Look forward to seeing you posting around the board, it's a great site and there's loads of useful information on here.

Hi Polly! Myself and Anne_Galaxy_Lady are in West Oxfordshire, near Witney and I know there are others around Abingdon way. Keep an eye out for some get togethers, which are usually posted about in "IH areas" I think. As casper says this is a lovely site, welcome along!

Hi there - I'm near Didcot and do mostly endurance type riding - at the low level - and long rides out on the Ridgeway!

ps Polly1 - where do you go to do Trec? I've not found any places around here that do it on a regular basis (Wickstead Equestrian near Faringdon hold occasional events but other than that....)

Hi Lucky Red,
I've had to travel quite a bit! Last year we went to Wimbledon (not on this year I think), Epsom, Gloucestershire & Bath! The riding was lovely. There is all the information on TREC events (affiliated ones, which is most of them) on the BHS website. There's an events diary just for TREC. Don't be put off by affiliated it's not like affiliated SJ or dressage, just ordinary people do it! As you're north of us I think there are some in the midlands. Let me know if you need any more help. There is also the winter series which is without the POR (orienteering bit) but they all seem to be miles away too. I've joined SETREC who are a friendly lot & have a website.

Hi polly1 - I've just been on the SETREC site to register interest even though I'm outside their area.
I had a moan at Kelly the other day that all the venues for the Winter Trec that she sponsors are miles away!

Hi Icarus
Good to hear from you. Do you have anything to ride at the moment?
