Some of you may remember my thread about Ellie, the horse I purchased after my mare passed away. Well she was not the horse for me I am sad to say. Her old owner is coming to collect her within the week and she will be turned away for the winter I believe. So once again I am on the look out for a horse :-(

Well Ba, good for you for making the right decision for both of you. I know from bitter experience that it is very difficult to admit that you made a mistake in buying a horse, so I take my hat off to you. You will find the right one eventually, and Ellie will also find the right rider.
Good luck in your renewed search.

Thanks guys, feeling a bit low at the moment but we weren't doing each other any favours and her old owner is happy to have her back. I'm sure its the best all round.

I bought the wrong horse after my old horse died and had to sell her on. It was a double blow and very traumatic. If only people were more honest it would save so much grief. Good luck, Jacquie.

jaxnbreeze, you're right its horrible having to sell a horse after buying the wrong one, I do consider myself very lucky that Ellie is able to return to her original owner. and yes if only people were more honest when selling, it would save a lot of heartache, although i also take responsibility for how things have turned out. Its just a shame all round really.
Naynay - I am considering another Sec D, although I am open to other breeds! I would prefer a native 'type' nothing too fine and flimsy for me! haha. However nothing too heavy either!
