I like Crewe saddlery..but gutted that they have done away with clothing/rugs etc. Guess people can only go there for a saddle now, not a browse around. Although i have only heard good regarding saddle fitting!

I've got a Farrington saddle with Crewe Saddlery badges that was apparently made to measure for some other horse by Crewe in the past and its lovely, I bought it from another saddler second hand after the original owner's horse lost a load of weight. Can't speak for the fitting service from Crewe since I got it second hand elsewhere but the saddle is very nice.
The local riding club does have the occasional saddle fitting day with Crewe Saddlery and everyone seems happy but I've not been to one yet.

we got millies old saddle from crewe, but that was a long time ago, and ive heard more negative views on it scince then, mainly the huge complaints about how its changed and got rid of all the horse stuff and clothes ... which i have to say was dissappointing

Crewe used to be the place most people on our old yard recommended for a good saddle fitting but I've heard a lot of negative reports since. About 5 years ago they wouldn't even come out to us to check the saddle fit as we had a synthetic saddle which we didn't buy from them. Sorrry, can't offer any helpful suggestions for an alternative
