Been to see a friends new filly.. 2 year old, supposed to have been a HIT, but no muscle tone, obvious rainscald and not a lot of muscle. However... Fabulous bone structure, good limbs, well proportioned and with a good back end that, when muscled up shuld offer great propulsion. Short aannon bones, good hocks and angulation. Lovely shoulder. If i was going to fault her, as a show horse I would like more length of rein. Well bred. no lumps, bumps sprains or strains... Plan is to rest her, build her up then put her back into training WHEN she is fit.....
I loved her, she let me manipulate all her joints etc... watch this space....
Ps.. I went to see her on my way back from a party and was on a farn in a silk minidress and stilleto heels..... still.....the pportunity to look at a diamond in the rough....

I will take some. As she came via a public sale she is now in isolation in a large barn, she can see other horses and has a goat companion. Her coat is thick and she is unrugged so she will be fed up and turned on the hill, where she will build up her substantial bottom and topline climbing up and down the hill. They thought she was a bit spooky at first, but today was the first time she saw me and she let me introduce myself and run my hands over her (as I have arthritis, I would not have put myself in any danger if I thought she was going to knock me over) Everything is so calm and relaxed on that farm Julia, thick hedges and post and rail fencing, differing pastures, yet the horses get to see things, for example the hunt comes through and they don't bat an eyelid. This filly has dropped on her feet...
