Well I've got my old mare MOSTLY clipped......... My trimmer has packed up leaving poor Abbey looking somewhat moth eaten! I have some Wolsley Swift clippers which I use for the straight forward bits & was using a liveryman trimmer for the tricky/sensitive parts. Abbey isn't too bad to clip, but does hate under her belly being done, so cant get near with my big clippers (but can't say I blame her!) Also, it looks like she maybe early cushings, so I might be having to clip a bit more than I have previously. Can anyone recommend some good trimmers/lightweight clippers that are quiet & reasonable that would do the job?

I have done a bib clip on my cob with the liveryman element trimmers which are fab, and now have the liveryman harmony which easily goes through his incredibly thick coat although I did get the wide blades to make it a bit quicker www.stencilbum.co.uk/clippers.htm found this website very cheap and excellent service. I would recommend either one and my cobs coat is about 2inches thick during winter

Thanks for that!
I've hopefully managed to borrow one off a friend tomorrow so I can sort out her shabby bits, but still need to buy one.
Its all very well reading the adverts, but it's real experiences that count - Keep 'em coming!
