That things have been pretty difficult for everyone over the last few months and of course, there doesn't seem to be much relief on the horizon. Every year we ask you to help out with fundraising for various wonderful charities. We were worried that we would struggle this year but i just want to say thank you to everyone who is pulling out all the stops to help again. I get some really heartwarming messages of all sorts of ideas, offers of help and auction items. The RA's and Tim M have been particularly generous as indeed Liz P with her amazing work on the calendar again. I hope that the Ride around Britain event is something that everyone will want to get involved in whether it be actual riding or helping in some way. The Garden Party is some way off yet but thats another exciting mark for the diaries. So, to everyone who helps us to help the charities, i would like to send you all a little hug ( little, in case anyone is still feeling delicate after the festivites ) Take care and thank you everyone

Time to think of what the year ahead brings and horoscopes are in lots of people's minds. The planetary alignments can help us plan our lives, in the same way as the farming weather does. You may think you know who you are, but the blueprint you were born with can be deciphered from what was happening in the sky at the moment of your birth. If you would like some help getting to know yourself, or wonder whether you are one sign or another if you were born on the cusp of two, I promised I'd do some charts to add the the IHDG charity funds. I'll put a fuller thread, showing you want you can have in the Charity section, but here's a summary for now. If you are born on the cusp. I can tell you which star sign you actually are, if you know the time you were born. If you are not certain of that and give me the year, I will tell you what time the sun moved from the previous constellation to the next, so if you know you were born at a day, it might give you a clue as to what you really are. As I only have to look this up in the constellation tables, this will be £3. The star sign attributes will include a chart and details of the key attributes of what each planetary position at the time you were born means for you. This will be £7 For £10, I can do a five page detailed version of this, telling you how the position of each planet is individual to you. If you want an exact time of birth, PM Jack (rifleman) who can dowse it for you with a pendulum. He doesn't need any more information from you, but if you are sending that information to me, let me know it is GMT, just in case you were born in Belize, as I will need to readjust! For details of what you get and how to pay, here's the Charity section thread ihdg.proboards91.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=appeal&thread=89283&page=1

Thanks for this Catrin. Well I've been practising my ride across the Ridgeway today with BF Angela riding Caesar - Both Pie and Caesar doing brilliantly shoeless with I'm really pleased about. Angela was very excited when I told her we had to do this ride for the IH charity soon - Lorraine when do I have to do my part? Angela also asked about the IH Garden Party. I really must book our fabulous Pimms girl Ele asap (she's coming to stay soon that be a good time to drop big hints) Ele was amazing last year. L I think some of the auctions etc. should come on the main board from time to time to make sure nobody misses out - the Tim Mockford present is fantastic!

Many thanks to you Lorraine, and everyone who helps raise money every year for whatever chosen cause. It is easy for people like me to contribute money for auctions, tickets etc etc, but much harder for those who do all the work and have the ideas to make it all happen. Incidently, when is the Garden party?? I do want to come this year, I hope it doesn't clash with our NPS area show again ((please) xxx

Ladies, the party is penciled in for Saturday 27th June. Fortunatly Kelly as agreed to up the tickets numbers this year so hopefully we won't be over subscribed ?!
Kelly, the lovely Laura is arranging all of the Ride Around Britain things for us ... not sure if she knew what she was letting herself in for, but we will certainly be asking you and Angela to ' start the event ' for us, so you may be in for early start !!

Oh BOTTOMS!! June 27th I'll be working at Glastonbury festival again. But I'll put my thinking cap on and try and think of a fundraising idea that I can do in my own small way. At the risk of sounding like a total plank, what are the charities we are supporting this year?

Excellent! The date for the Garden Party is now in my diary Carol - I'm so disappointed that it clashes again with Glasto and that you won't be there. I was looking forward to seeing you! Eden! I recommend staying over - there's a Travelodge nearby - shall we book nearer the time?
