Just a warning to anyone with horses in the area. We were out with our pony who we are teaching to drive on boxing day in Coleford near Radstock / Frome. Two men in a black Shogun type vechicle reg CF55 JYR were acting very suspiciously asking all sorts of questions about him and our other horses, did we have any for sale, did we want to buy a cart etc etc. They purposefully turned around to drive down the lane we were on, waited up a drive watching for a while and then came back past us. Driver was a big man with an Irish accent. I would not trust them at all so please keep an eye out for this these people around your horses.

I've got a friend down in Somerset on a lovely yard, I'll let her know. Can you report this to your local Horsewatch too Megan to spread the word as wide as possible?

Well done for notifying HW AND getting the reg no - you have reported it to the police too haven't you?

Megan, I know you, don't I? From Coleford and Horseworld? Last saw you there on Saturday mornings, when I was doing Equine Touch sessions... bit too far to travel now though :-)
I hope your pony's safe and that nothing bad happens in the area... You wouldn't believe how good it is to be living somewhere that horse theft and related crime is next to zero. Looking back, I can't believe how much happens in the UK and how lightly it is taken by the authorities.
