I've always put the wrap with the over lap to the side but I've brought some lovely red John Whitaker leg wraps and the instructions say and show that the over lap is at the back of the leg over the tendons. I always thought the over lap when to the side and not over the tendons in case it was too tight and caused problems. Here is the link to the ones I've brought showing them over lapped at the back? www.fosseequestrian.co.uk/john-whitaker-airflow-leg-wraps-1039-p.aspCan anyone tell me which one is correct or are they both ok?

I thought the same as you, overlap to the side. Certainly boots always fasten to the side & I was always taught that bandages (particularly the old fashioned sort that tie to fasten rather than velcro - makes me sound ancient!) should never fasten at the back in case they caused a pressure point on the tendon.

Susan,
I bandage her legs when she is stabled as her legs fill. Think i might use them as travel boots instead.
