Thought it was about time I said hello. I have a 5yr old (6 next week) Haflinger lad called Thomas (the tank engine!!) AKA Donkey, and he's my 1st horse. His destiny in France was looking dodgy when his owner (my brother) found that he couldn't sell him on but they couldn't keep him either due to 'behavioural problems'. As a Haffy (and animal) lover, I bought him off them before I saw him, had him picked up and shipped over, and within a week called my mum crying my heart out saying "I cant do this anymore". He was very traumatised and dangerous with it. Long story cut very short, we've now been together 20 months, he's still challenging at times (he probably thinks the same about me!!) but he's my boy and I'm his 'mum' and I wouldn't change him for the world.
