Hi all,
Have just posted as a newbie on introductions.
LizP has invited me to this coffee morning, and kate suggested I look at thread - so will be there to meet all you 'ney-bours' !! Can't wait - having horses at home is sooo lovely but a little isolating too, will be good to meet a few like minded pees.
See ya soon Caz xx

Chris + Geeup,
I too know Becky. Have nothing but good to say about her, have done a 2 day 1 to 1 and a 4 day clinic and my daughter used to help her daughter muck out on Sundays. She's helped us no end and I really appreciate all her help in the past and what I'm sure will come in the future ...!
Her Husband Chris has now joined the gang at Ashen and is doing all admin and course bookings etc, while Becky concentrates on lessons, courses and all that stuff she does so well - so if you email, you should get a quicker response these days.
Oh sorry I'm new Hello xx Caz x

Hi Guys,
A bit worried about this reported outbreak of strangles in Sible Hedingham - are we still OK for the coffee morning?

I have no problem at all meeting for a coffee.
Sticking my neck out here, but it's almost impossible to pass on strangles from human to human to horse if you've not been in contact with the disease yourself. And even if you have, sensible precautions should prevent the spread. You have to be aware but not panic. Even while my horses were quarantined due to strangles a few years back, and while I was injecting and treating infected ponies, I still managed to carry on a normal life by just being sensible.
If, though, you or your mum have any concerns, then it is your place, your pones, and we'll postpone.

Hi Kate, Scully is poorly at the moment - vet thinks it is cellulitis - so at the moment it looks like she won't be fit until Tuesday next week, which means I won't be on my way past on Sunday as originally planned. Unless she has other ideas - this is the second day of walking her out and already she is up to nearly normal walking speed! I also wonder if the stable door is going to survive her box "rest" So I'll probably miss out on meeting up with you all Hopefully we will still make it to Ashen ...
