Hi there, I'm (obviously) new to the forum. I live in Lancashire, and have 4 horses: Blue is a 17.2hh ex-racehorse whos 13, Pilgrim is a 17.2hh (and growing!) Percheron who's 4, Oscar is around 2 years old, 15hh and a percheron x with something like a Breton and finally I have Ruby who looks very much like a Breton and is 5 and around 14hh. Pilgrim, Oscar and Ruby have all come from fattening farms in France hence why I dont know much about them. Ruby only arrived a couple of weeks ago and is extremely frightened of humans, so I'm on a bit of an upward struggle to get her dreadlocks cut off and the burrs out of her coat, but I actually reached out and stroked her gently for the first time without her turning away yesterday which was a massive achievement for her, yay! Anyway, hi to all and this looks like a really great forum, glad I've found it!

Hi Ang. Welcome to the DG. I agree with Kate, you really must have your hands full. I think you must have more hours in your days than i do !!! Congratulations on giving those wonderful horses a new, bright future. Lorraine

thanks very much, ha my mum frequently tells me I need my head examining!! They take a lot of time and tons of effort, especially when the weathers as miserable as it is today but they're worth it and we just about manage (I have roped my mum back into horses after a 15 year break to help me out!) between us. ang xx
