Hi guys am hoping someone can help!
As you know I sadly lost my beloved coloured heavyweight, I have since had to move my other lad Harry into livery as I don't see its fair that he should be on his own - after all he lost his best mate too.
I still have my own yard as was hoping to find a sharer or companion for Harry.
I have been looking and looking and am at my wits end. Not only is £££ running out as paying for livery and my yard, but poor Harry just doesn't seem happy either.
Two potential sharers came to look at yard and neither were suitable. Have advertised since but got no replies.
Would be happy to take long term loan on another horse but have now been messed about I don't know how much more I can take.
I live in Channel Islands which doesn't help but am more than happy to travel to see potential loan horses. I have my own transport and would be willing to collect too....
My poor Harry just wants a new friend and I just want Harry to be happy!
It just makes loosing Bob so much harder to deal with.
Are there any alternatives that would be suitable for company for Harry?
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried contacting the ILPH?They usually have loads of companion horses/ponies needing good homes. Sounds like your boy really misses his friend

Yes he does, he is the most loving lad you could meet. At 17.2 he is a true gentle giant! I have tried a few rescue centres but they are not keen on a horse coming "overseas" and prefer to rehome within their area.

Hi thanks for info. I've had a think and discussed with my hubby, unless we take a shetland or similar we would like something that can still be ridden. I was teaching my hubby to ride and he would like to carry on, bless him.

Bonjour Sam!!
I read your post and instantly thought of Sue Vidamour who my cousin Mark has got 2 ponies through to Jersey.. or.. come and get a horse from here in France!!!!! We are closer, i.e. only an hour on the boat.. you can stay here for as long as you like at our house and we have spare paddocks if you wanted to wait for the sailings!.. I dont mind horse hunting either!!
