well ballanced things!
i hacked out with a girl from the yard she is 12. just as we were leaving her little sister said oooo im going to fetch Mezz (her little pony) ill catch you up! this girl is 9! about 10min after we left the yard we heard them cantering up the set a side (which is next to the lane we were on) i turned round and she had just thrown the ponies bridle on taken its rug off and came out bareback!
so she jioned us bareback...her little pony is dead bouncy as well it does a little silly trot everywhere to keep up with the horses.
then on the way back home she waited behind us and cantered up the set a side again! crazy! i wish i had ballence like that!

was only talking about this down the yard today....how many years ago as youngsters we used to go bareback with only headcollar and leadrein tied each side for a hooley up the field and not think twice about it...children nowadays dont seem to be taught to have fun and certainly would never be allowed to ride bareback in a lesson....definately imptroves your seat!!!see my saga with cantering and children!!

she loves riding bareback we have to force her to put a saddle on! ive seen her riding in the school with not even a head collar on it...if she falls off she laughs and jumps back on!
i jump on Otto bareback every now and again and can just about mannage to trot but i only ever do it in the comfort of the school!
when i was little we used to ride the ponies up from the field bareback but i was mega impressed with this little one! shes never had a lesson in her life and certainly isnt the most 'conventional' little ridder but she rides like shes got super glue on her bum! even when her pony spooked at a man with a huge umbrella she just laughed!
