Best horsey highlights of 2006:
Cantering Bobby out on hacks both in company and solo Doing some TREC training with him at a strange place with loose horses in the next field hoolying around and Bobby not batting an eyelid Going through water and over a footbridge where the previous year he had practically trotted backwards to get away from it Being fortunate enough to have Clover on loan through the summer - then buying her Riding Tob's gorgeous Highland ponies on Mull - Camrie, Amber and Cuin OH riding Tob's lovely Cuin - and having riding lessons from then on so that we can ride out together this year Riding some other lovely horses - Betty, Negrito, Mora, King, Caspar Finally finding a fantastic livery yard where we are just soooo happy Seeing Susan and Flynn getting settled in such a lovely yard with lots of fab hacking Completing my reiki Level 1 and being fortunate enough to work with Tractora and Milonga and also Vienna Having my first RWYM lesson - and already starting to feel the security in the saddle which I had felt as a kid
Goals for 2007:
To ride Bobby a lot more - once we get yet another new saddle sorted out To do at least one TREC or pleasure ride on Bobby by the end of the year To help Bobby be a softer more relaxed horse For Clover to continue to blossom To have lots and lots of horsey fun with the fab friends and horses we have been lucky enough to have met
Very excited about being booked in for the Tom Widdicombe Clinic at Jill's at the end of May and early June and then the Kathleen Clinic at June's in July. Can't wait.
Happy 2007 everyone, may everyone's hopes and dreams all come true x

2006
Moving house to our own yard, and opening our livery. Buying the girls ponies of their own, and watching the ponies and children developing together.
2007
Finally beating the planning department to get out manege, round pen and x country course, I hope that one is iminent!! Buying a couple of horses for myself as projects to sell on, again I hope that one is iminent, as I have seen a couple advertised yesterday that tug at the heart strings a bit. Increasing our number of customers so that the mortgage doesn't look so worrying. Increasing the number of people I teach in my new area, as I still have my biggest base of pupils in our old area. Oh, and getting the land and buildings here truely spic and span, as the place had been empty for two or three years you can imagine that nature had taken over. And another thing - improving the bridleway network round here, as some are unpassable, and others are dead ends that turn into footpaths of which we have thousands and thousands, so a real waste.
Don't know if I will achieve all my goals this year, but I wish all of you the best of luck with yours, and hope you all have a happy and successful 2007.

These are my hopes for 2007----- For my 4, 5, and 6 yr old babies to carry on in their Mothers' footsteps in the Show Ring. and to find a really lovely showing home for my 4 yr old. Most of all, for my Boo to get in foal this year.

2006 was a very good horsey year for me We bought Tess in June, who has turned out to be just as wonderful as I'd hoped and seems to have ended up being 'my' horse rather than my daughter's as originally planned I also finally went on the IH 5 day course which was a wonderful experience. For 2007 I just want more of the same, happy horses and riders

What a year 2006 was for me its one that i wont forget!! Bought a 4YO rising 5 WB to bring on in Jan 06. By march i had him out doing his first affiliated BD tests. Came home with a 2nd & a 4th so continued with his career. By June we where fully qualified for Summer regionals & we also went to the Badminton YH Dressage Finals where we won a Novice Class. We then went to regionals & where placed & just scraped through to the Nationals we weren't placed but it was brilliant. Going to take it a bit easier this year & let him grow up a bit before we move on to the next level,He has had December off, but we are qualified for the Winter regionals in Feb. Also being able to find a saddle that my old TB is happy in so pleased i made the leap to go Treeless. I hope to do a bit of Trec with my TB this year. I'm also taking on a project horse with issues off one of the Lady's i teach early 2007.

2006 I bought my first horse. Took her to her first show and came 3rd in M&M in-hand out of at least 12 horses. My girl was the only mare in the top 5, the other 4 were stallions!!!! Started back with more basic groundwork which has been going well. In the short time i have had my mare, we've already form a lovely bond.
2007 To have our bond continue to grow from strength to strength. Get my mare back under saddle relaxed and happy again. Take my horse to more shows and once under saddle hacking out again. Pretty simple, but will mean alot to me to get there.

2006 has been a great year for me - I bought a horse!
2007 is going to be very strange. After my gap year, I am starting university in Sept, so I want to find a lovely livery yard in Coventry that Lloyd will be happy at.

2006 - Hacking out on the roads again after a severe attack of nerves stopped me for two years.
2007 - I would love to be able to hack out on the roads on my own. At the moment I always go out in company but my goal for 2007 is to get Poppy out on her own. Will ask my friend to walk on foot for a while and take it really slowly. I'd love to be able to get up early in the summer and go out while the roads are a bit quieter. At the moment I have to wait for my friends who never seem ready before 10am.
Good luck to everyone - lets have a safe, happy and enjoyable 2007.
