I know I thought he'd make a good hack for my OH apart from the stallion bit, I have 2 very promiscuous (sp?) mares.

There seem to be a lot of dealers advertising as private sellers on many of these sites. When I made some enquiries a while back, they never had the original horse I was interested in, but they always seemed to know another livery or friend selling a horse that would be suitable for me ... if I told them what my requirements were!

Yes, I agree. Same horse. To be fair, though, they have said what his fault is (assuming he isn't also Psycho horse from hell, but looking at the first ad I'd say not!). I'd say that was actually very cheap for the amount of horse. If he doesn't have any major injuries, he'd make some lucky man a good hunter or hack!
Re: advertising as private - in this case I'd guess that the dealer bought the horse from a private seller simply to sell on. At 950, what kind of home are the first sellers expecting?? I mean, I'm not flush with money, but I could have gone out and bought that horse tomorrow and have the hay in the store ready to feed him!

Or the first sellers sold the horse willingly to the dealer?

or the first people may have not had any luck with selling him and have put him at a dealers to sell for them and he has added on his bit on top hense the price rise, thats what i think has happened anyway, esp as both sellers are in Surrey
