Having a bit of a stress here - my groom has just said that one of her ponies is ill, they think its strangles she is waiting for the vet to arrive at the moment....
Normally she just comes up and mucks out etc but yesterday for the first time she actually handled my horses.......
Could do with some positive thoughts....

You would have to be very, very , unlucky for yours to get it from your groom, unless one of them coughed or snotted directly over her. From now on, ask her to change ALL her outa clothes between going near any other ponies and your horses. I insist my grooms do that strangles or no strangles, and I ALWAYS do as a matter of course.

Oh the stress!! Well, her vet has said he doesn't think it is strangles by the symptoms but she will get the test results today - the only thing that makes him think there is a slight chance it could be is that her other ponies are starting to come down with the same syptoms.....
