Great hacking Oranges. Thanks for sharing these great photos. Dp you do TREC with your ponies? I reckon they would both be fantastic - and you've got lots of great terrain and natural obstacles to practise with.

isn't the ground very soft in that forest?? if we go into the forest near us Sherb gets really upset as there are soft bits disguised by the leaves. I'm only asking because I'm never quite sure whether I should keep on going in and just work him through it or whether I should trust his judgment and write the forest off when it's been wet because it is dangerous!!

Thanks for comments guys Casper not sure if we have trec round here, never seen it advertised anywhere nor heard of anyone whos done it locally, i wouldnt mind a go at it tho perhaps somthing to try and sort out for next year. The ground is soft in places, i usually stick to the tracks, but if i do go thro and theres a patch which i'm iffy about and horse says no i just give it a miss find another way or somthing, gues it depends on the horse like

If you have a look on the BHS website Oranges - www.bhs.org.uk I think it is - that gives details of some of the forthcoming indoor and outdoor TREC's for next year. Your terrain does look really perfect for it!
