Sarahfox, long story. I was going to buy him when he was imported at the same time as Enebro (who now belongs to Wozzer) but there was someone else who needed him more than i did so i let him go. Subsequently, i didn't bond with Nebbs and the girl who had Maximo hadn't paid for him (months and months down the line) and the lady who imported him (Dawn) asked if i still wanted him and i said yes as Nebbs at that time was awaiting vetting for Wozzer. Basically i reposessed him for Dawn, paid the girl what she had paid and the balance to Dawn. She had shod him with natural balance shoes on the day before i fetched him and basically he didnt have a sound leg to stand on. Mega vet visit to remove shoes and the farrier had taken all his heel away and dumped his toe, basically crippling him ( sent photos etc but she denied he had ever been lame to me but told Dawn he was lame when he lost a shoe) no contact from her at all after the photos (also showing big abscess hole which she also denied) my wonderful farrier shod him with glue ons in front as i didnt want nail holes so close, and nothing behind and rebuilt his feet with resin. it's taken two months for him to come sound!

Poor boy, glad hes all ok now though, pagnamber. I think many UK farriers just dont understand iberian feet. The horse I am buying belongs to the top remedial farrier in spain and he says that many UK farriers do just what you describe, they are trying to make them look more like english feet.My farrier is ok,and has kept izzs feet nice for the last 7 years, but even so,I have asked Andres to send Bambu with a brand new set for my farrier to copy! Love your gorgeous friesian too btw!
