thanks everyone its getting late ish and I am all I cant do anything either except apply cream and wait til after xmas for xrays. fingers crossed it goes down with the cream.

thanks for all the hugs I will pass them on to Meg. Who will probably put her ears back and walk off, she isnt a fan of hugs!
So far she seems to be settling in box rest ok. Shes already been on her own when I hacked the other 2 out yesterday, and she settled quickly once I had turned the others out without her this morning. So thats a positive.

Is the stuff DMSO if so don't get it on your skin it gives you a real metallic taste in your mouth its not called that, but despite wearing gloves I brushed bare skin against a patch of it on Meg and now my mouth tastes HORRIBLE ewww. its called...eskfloygyl....or someting along those lines?! edited: just checked as twas annoying me, lol, Ekyflogyl. I was close!

ahh no - hope meg is ok soon the Ekyflogyl has DMSO as its active ingredient so be very careful with it Emily having said that IME its been very effective in reducing splints and on a tendon injury too - so fingers crossed for you both

Poor Meg! Good luck with the tests after Christmas Emily.
DMSO is Dimethyl Sulphoxide and used as an anti inflammatory in horses and people. If you do a Google search there is some interesting info on several sites.

Aw, poor Megs. Zico had Gel stuff from the vet when he fractured his splint bone, it worked like magic
