Megs on box rest, he injected her - he is a very good vet, I wish he was my usual one. I have some gel stuff to rub in that I must must must not get on my own skin apperently. Meg needs to go for xrays after christmas, he thinks she might have fractured or chipped a bone in her knee. my poor baby and grrrrrrrrrrrrr at the horse that kicked her. I know horses are horses etc so I am not blaming the rider, she was really apologetic. smeggles I hope hope hope she is ok. and box rest, eek. crying

Oh poor Meg, and poor you too. I really pray that it isn't a chip, and just a bit of infection. Good luck with her.

Hi Emily, just wanted to send warm wishes to you and Meg and hope she is feeling better really soon. Is it tensolvet gel you have to rub on? I had that for ben when he had his splint injury - take care both of you!
I can well recommend Susan's brilliant idea of wetting a bandage, putting it in a plastic bag, then in the freezer until it's frosty and then wrapping the leg with it whilst it's cold (that may be difficult with it being her knee but it's a great rememdy to help combat the swelling.
Best wishes xxx

Fingers crossed it's not a fracture, like you say let's pray it's just fluid retention and goes as quickly as it arrived. Give her a big hug from me.
