There are 20 mile and 13 mile pleasure rides running alongside the competitive rides. We ran this as a social ride last year and it went really well. There are some hilly bits but there are also long stretches of good going along the trans pennine trail. The views are breathtaking. Some pics from the route are here:

It's likely to be a relaxed ride so a good one for first timers and young horses.

this ride was on my schedule but unfortunately my season is now over.
charisse might be going and if so i might be tempted to camp and be sociable instead ;D
