Hi all I am new to this site and thought id introduce myself. I have just got my first pony, well in April and I feel like a teenager. We have had horses for the past 9 years but they have always been for my children, now its my turn. My pony, (horse really) is an Ardennes, so cute and very sweet. Look forward to chatting to you and learning lots of tips! x

Hi TinyDonkey and welcome to the DG. Did you buy your Ardennes in the UK or import him or her from France? I think they look very majestic.

Will really look forward to seeing some photos. If you set up an account with someone like www.photobucket.com and upload your photos onto there, all you need to do is copy the IMG code onto a post on here and your photos will come up. (You will see the IMG code shown by the side of your photos on Photobucket). Your boy sounds delightful. xx

Oh how funny your daughters horse silver looks just like my husbands, especially the one where he is looking to the side. Have a look on www.begonia.digart.pl/ then go to my other gallery I'll leave it to you to guess which one he is!!! How big is he? George is 17.2 he's a shire cross I was also late in getting my own pony ,I got fed up with mucking out for them two.So I took riding lesson and got him six months later on loan. Two years later I bought him I've had him four years now, one of the best things I've ever done . Keep meaning to put some pic's up. Your chap looks great.

I tried to look at your pics but my pute is running slow so i'll try again later. Our shire is a mare and 17.1 and very quick on her feet for a chunky horse. I love the heavy horses they are all round good doers and too many people overlook them. Id love to see more people with the heavy breed of horse, more horses less cars Look forward to seeing your pics and thanks for the comments x
