Sorry title too short to name you all
I need help to justify the values of home finding for particular dogs rather just letting them take their chances or be PTS immediately . Particularily the finding of suitable homes for the working dogs. Sandal farm especially can we use Misty as an example of how she has progressed from being locked in a small cage in an upstairs flat to a useful and happy Collie? Any support on this would be appreciated as I either have to stop it now and let them be PTS or present to cabinet for formal approval. Please help if you can

I need to prove that this is in the dogs best interest. I need to prove I have made no financial gain. I do not know who has complained about this, no suggestions have been made of misconduct, but it is against set procedures. As far as I am concerned everyone has gained. The Dogs have gained. I have not taken one penny for any of them. The council have gained because they have to pay to have them put down. The Principal officer and the Dog wardens are supporting this, because they want to see dogs in good homes, not dead. However, we need a "feel good " story for the councillors to say we can continue to do this. Please help!!!!

Thanks. I really need support on this. Apparently these dogs, once they have been signed over are BMBC property. This is the issuue. I want the cabinet to realise that they are better off rehomed into suitable homes than put down

Hi jackiedo, we have misty the blue merle, we harrassed jen1 to let us have her, as we already had two tri-coloured borders but had always wanted a blue merle, and she is fabuolous. A very gentle dog who does everything to please us. We love her to bits and can only say thank-you again for letting us have her. She is very intelligent and easy to train, surprisingly after all shes been through she still adores people but is still quite nervous, but we just ignore that then she thinks ok nothing to be scared of.
I really hope you can continue to do the wonderful work you do because I really dont know (well I can guess but wouldn't like to think about it!) what would happen to all those poor dogs without you.
Dawn

OMG that is awful, well here is my story about max. We had recently lost one of our dogs and our other dog was pining, he refused to go out and just was wasting away mentally. When we heard about max, a 2yr old border collie, we knew the time had come to have another addition to the family. With the help of friends, bringing him to Lincolnshire, we welcomed an emacited dog into our family. He greeted us like he had known us forever, but it was so sad to pet him as he was sooo skinny, I took him to the vets the next day and He weighed in at a pitiful 14kg, the vet was horrified that anyone could do this to a dog, we lavished him with love and attention as well as some training and plenty of food, he steadily put on weight at a rate of 1 kg a week, he is a loving kind dog, and would of been a massive waste of life, he has so much to give. He is about to start agility as he loves learning, he has a good life on our farm, is learning to be good around the horses and is a loyal family pet. We cant imagine life without him now. Here are a couple of pics of him on arrival and then after he had put weight on, he now weighs a healthy 21 kgs. I would like to add, that not a penny changed hands, even when it cost people petrol to get him to me. before after
