Lioness those pics are amazing, no-one would ever guess how ill he'd been. You really did pull off a miracle with him.
Thanks so much for the update, I think you & Nelson will always have a lot of friends on here who'll wonder how you're doing.

I forgot to keep up with this thread. Aren't those pics stunning?! So Lioness, do tell, is he still on medication, & how is he being managed now? Good luck for his continued health and happiness

Hi all, RJ, he's not on any medication as wuch, honey in his feeds, and very wet feeds, if he's having a flare up I do give him bute. We had a bit of a disater lately in that the land we rented the yard on was sold, so we've had to move, he hates the new place and the grazing is diabolical atm, so we've gone back a few steps, in that not eating hay and missing feeds, but just plodding through it for the moment. Thanks.L

Has he got over his yard move yet? I hope it's just a temporary set back.
(((Hugs))) for Nelson x.

Hi, just found this thread and sat and read all the way through from page 1. Never realised how horrible grass sickness is before.
I'm blown away with your devotion to Nelson and your other horses, while coping with a sick daughter. I'd like to think I'd cope as well as you have done, but I'm not sure I could.
All the best to you and your family, 2 legged as well as 4 legged. Hope you have a peaceful Christmas.

Hello hello heloo everyone, sorry I don't get on here much nowadays ! News is, he is doing FAB !! almost too well if that is poss !! We moved from that hellhole this month and he has just blossomed, lots of lush grass and a couple of girlfriends to keep him company ! touchwood, just having honey in his feeds for the throat, and nothing else, having to cut his feeds right down as he is too fat !! so fingers crossed he is going to be happier at the new place and things will work out. Thanks all for thinking of us, Luvs ya !! L and fatboy xx
