I lost my boy Magners last month to sub-acute grass sickness. Such a horrible disease. I have made a group on facebook in memory of him. I want to spread awareness. Please look at documents on the group which have lots of links to different info on different sites. www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=...90680500978828I have just made an album in memory of all horses that have suffered with GS. If anyone would like a picture posted, post one on the wall with a comment and I will add it to the "In memory of..." album. Thanks Rachel

Wow, he looks really well. Well done for sticking with him. I know not sticking with him was never an option but its a hard slog sometimes getting sick horses well again.

Doesn't he look splendid now?! Brilliant to hear he's going from strength to strength. It must be an inspiration to others, though of course they don't all respond that well :-(

HELLO ALL, I cant believe I found my way back here again ! almost forgot where we all started ! I dont have any good news Im afraid, Nelson has passed aay 2 days ago at the grand old age of 15, he has GS when he was 3, so we did well but in the end I do believe it got him him after a short relapse he passed away peacefully overnight. I honestly dont know ho we would have managed to get through all this years ago without this group you were our rock and guideed us thoguht some very dark days indeed, and even though now with FB and all the other social media out there I am very pleased to see this is still going strong. I cannot express how very grateful we were and always will be for your kind thoughts and prayers and advise. With all my heart I can never thank you all enough. My heart is broken never to heal but he will always go with us........thankyou....... I hope to put lots of pics of him on my FB page over the years, its Rawlings Cobs, if any of you remember us, please drop a message...... all our love xxx

So sorry to hear Nelson has died but glad it was peaceful and his relapse short. Both of you showed such strength in the fight for life, it was inspirational to share a small part of that fight and the ups and downs. Nelson had a good long run of health all down to the dedication and strength of character of all involved.
Run free Nelson and my best wishes to you and your family for the future lioness... no one could have done more. xxxx

So sorry to hear your sad update. You must miss Nelson terribly after all you went through with him. He was a lucky horse to have you as an owner. Without your devotion he would have not had the happy life that he enjoyed.
