Hi everyone, Thought it was about time I introduced myself to the board...which I found out about after the Monty demo late last year (which was awesome!). Although sadly I don't own a horse I have been riding for nearly a year (having never previously ridden...ever!) and have managed to over-come some biiiiigg confidence issues....and I now have the horsey bug! So, I get my fix from 2 local stables in Berkshire, as many times a week as I can afford! Looking for any help, tips or advice always! Nic ;D

Welcome to the DG nrw. Hopefully there will be some DG'ers in your area who might like some help from time to time? And with the IH courses not being held too far away maybe you could go as a helper? That way you get to see everything which happens and would learn an awful lot I would imagine.
Look forward to seeing you post on the main boards too.

Thku Casper! Unfortunately I don't have much horsey knowledge (not for want of trying!) so as many hours I can get in or out of the saddle would be great....I think half my early confidence issues were from not knowing how to be around horses.
Look forward to getting to know you all and your equine friends ;D (even if I do get a teensy bit jealous from time to time hehe)

Helping out on one of the IH Courses would be a great place to start nrw. And also Kelly's books Perfect Manners, Perfect Partners and Perfect Confidence are all excellent and would give a great insight into IH and working with the horse.
Take care, great to have you on here.
