Awwww GSD's are THE best dogs in the world - EVER!! I would foster him if I wasn't going on hol's 2nd June.... however I was doing my sponsered walk Yesterday and talkin to my Friend Jan that runs the dog rescue that I foster for and I mentioned you and the surrender dogs, she said she would be happy to help if she could and that you can call her and have a chat - if you are interested let me know and I will Pm you her number, the charity are Royston animal welfare. What is the name of the kennels in Barnsley where the dog warden takes them? If you get stuck with this one give me a ring and I will see what I can do

this is a boy. The problem is that the kennels are a business and not a charity. They will not get paid if they give the dog away. They get paid if it is PTS and they get paid if they rehome it. This is a major issue, and, hopefully if I can get a home lined up the dog will not be stressed by putting it into a kennel at all, where it may get overlooked etc.

I know all that Jackie - but Jan may know of people looking for a particular breed/type/age/size, the charity are based in Barnley too so it would likely be local people- she isn't in it to profit just for the good of the dogs, all dogs.
It is also easier for fosters to accept a dog into their home (as I did with Max - albeit briefly) if they have the back up of a charity - vets bills, contacts etc - obvioulsy if you venture into this terrotory you are talking about a donation being asked for the dog when a home is found.... but the fosterer can write up an honest reveiw of the dog problems/preferences/abilities etc and find a more suitable home in the long run?
I know that they get most of the dogs from the local authority kennels in Barnsley (and rochdale for some reason?) anyway - I used to know what it was called but it has slipped my mind.

How brief is this ad? so sad "Male dog free to good home needs a good loving home hes about 4 very placid dog thanks" then this one (GSDxCollie) Hi, I am wanting a nice family to re-home my dog. Bonnie is around 6 years old and is a border collie cross with alsation, she has all the colrourings of an alsation (but with floppy ears). I can't spend the amount of time with her as I feel is needed and this is unfair to her. She is extremely well behaved and house trained. She is really good round kids too, although she can be boistrous around new people but does settle down when told. She is pulls a little on the lead when walking but we have a harness for her to prevent this, she is good off the lead and will come back when shouted (if she not playing with others). She has been sterelised too. There will be her bowls and bed to go with her too. it will be really upsetting for my family to rehome her, but we feel this is the kindest thing for her. Please, I only ask people with lots of time and love to give reply to this mail.
