Hello there! I am currently living in Hertfordshire, but will be moving to Norfolk within the next 6 months and would really appreciate the advice of you lovely Anglia people! I am looking for somewhere to keep my 12yo TB gelding between Swaffham and Downham Market. I will be based in Northwold (just north of Thetford Forest) and am keen to find an IH-thinking environment for him, either field share or a chilled out yard or something similar with plenty of turnout. He currently lives out 24/7, shoes off, in a herd of 8, and I don't want to tear him away from his horsey heaven until I can find somewhere he'll be equally happy! I'm sure you all understand I would love to hear from anyone who has any suggestions, or knows of anywhere/anyone I could speak to. And I look forward to meeting you once we've moved! Thanks very much.

Hi jeji, just letting you know you are not alone! Don't know of any yards or if there are any of us up that way. Might be as well to post a thread on gh directing them this way. Good luck.

Hi Jeji!
I've just moved to Lincolnshire from Oxborough, Norfolk so know the area very well - still have our house there. My best mate lives in Northwold!
Unfortunately the yard I moved my mare from is full, but there is April's livery yard actually in Northwold other than that I don't know of anywhere else in the area - they are either all over near Dereham or Barroway Drove (other side of Downham). There is Elise's livery yard at Barton Bendish but thats over 10/15 miles from Northwold - not sure if you'd want to travel that far?
I'll ask over the weekend if anyone knows of anywhere else for you (it takes ages to find places in Norfolk - they don't like foreigners!).
Elaine.

Hello Misty and Mrsmurchin! Thanks for your replies - it's lovely to hear from some Anglians, and who knows, could see you at a meet up in due course if the move goes ahead (although it's not the most sensible time to buy a house!!).
Mrsmurchin, how funny your best friend lives in Northwold. It is a lovely place! I'm heading back there week after next for some horse house hunting (!) so will let you know how I get on. And if anyone you speak to over the weekend comes up with any good suggestions I'll look forward to hearing them! What was the name of your yard? Maybe I could pop in and have a chat, see if any spaces might come up in the future? Hope your girl has settled ok after your move.
Thanks again both of you x
