This just makes my mind boggle!!! Last show I skipped the sharks teeth and just did the chequerboard

do you teach him to stand like that or does he just do it? I did teach him, but now he seems to just do it most of the time. We were just hanging about waiting for our session when the photo was taken, rather than posing - luckily something interesting was going on in the distance! The photo makes his front feet look like they're turning out, but they don't

I have a question....why are quarter marks used?? I presume its a tradition thing, can someone explain please??

They are used to acentuate the quarters and done properly can disguise conformation faults to a certain extent making the quarters look bigger/ less slopeing etc Here are Quarter marks on an in hand Show Hack 2 or 3 yr old ( can't remember which ) and a yearling Showpony.

Thanks Vic, I thnk that is what is so wonderful about this DG There are so many members who have so much experience in so many different fields. We are almost bound to find someone who can answer any of our questions eventually. ;D
