Hi Louise - have not opened the link yet (busy at work pretending that I'm doing something useful!) - hopefully I'll come along as well - push the boat out a bit and challenge yourself - do a longer one! I'll probably aim for the 15 miles!

Oh Sarah that could be fun - Flynn is doing 8 at Waddesdon on Sunday so I'll see how he goes for that - my sharer is taking him but it's not speed related - these are and you have to go quite fast. I should be OK though!

Not sure if Clover is going to be fit enough as she's off work with a suspected abcess at the mo. Got the vet coming on Friday so should know how long she'll be off work by then. If we do the 5 miles I'd very much appreciate someone with a sane & sensible horse (the gorgeous Tinta maybe??) to accompany us as we are still very much getting to know each other! If I can't do the ride I might volunteer to help out so should get to see you all anyway!

p.s. Just noticed that you can do the ride Hor Concour (or something similar!) so you can go at your own pace and not worry about qualifying times etc.

having looked at the link, the speeds are not that fast - and from my limited experience all that happens if you take too long is they tell you that you've taken too long! If we were to start as early as possible you would not even need to worry that the organisers were having to wait behind.
It says you need to ride in groups of 2 - 5 Riders - I guess because its a pony club thing they don't want youngsters out and about on their own - we could make up an IH team if anyone else is up for it!
I still say 15 miles would be well within the capabilities of most of us!

I've never not been able to stay within the pace so would be OK. They always start the 20 milers first then the 15 so time isn't really an issue from that viewpoint.

We're on for 15 miles then? Do you need to be picked up on the way?

Are you close enough to hack there? Lucky you!
Closer to the date (I'm away for the next 3 weeks with work) we could maybe make arrangements on where to meet?
