Hi folks, I just wanted to share with you that we have a new RA based in the Tarn & Garonne (82) near Agen. I took my two horses to Jo Bond's for the day at the beginning of the month, a TB who loads fine at home but rarely for the return journey, and a strong-minded TB/ID mare who likes to take too many decisions with a rider on board and doesn't like rein instructions. Even though I'd done Kelly's courses I was a long way from having all the answers, and really needed a fresh person to look at things from an independent and unbiased perspective. After a busy and productive day, I was shown that my mare could/would soften in the right situation and using the right tools, and the tricky loader begrudgingly at first then on a loose rope happily loaded himself. Most importantly, I left with a LOAD of new ideas and tricks to use going forward - and I've decided 2008 is the year I'm really going to make things work with my horses, so a healthy dose of motivation too ;D So - if anyone's tearing their hair out, Jo's contact details are at: www.kellymarks.co.uk/content.asp?id=8&doc=66It was one of my most productive days with the horses this year!

Sounds as though it was/is a huge success for you and your horses Marianne. I had a brief look at her web site. Glad it has worked well for you. Has she been in your area for long?

I think Jo's been here as least as long as I have (3 years +) but received full RA status last year. She has great facilities including a fabulous full size round pen and a school I'm madly jealous of ;D Here's a pic of the TB happily loading (photo courtesy of Jo's hubby)
