Hi Laura,
So I'm not the only person in Herefordshire then................Waves.......
From the avatar you do carriage driving, bet that's an adrenaline rush !
Yes, it's a very pretty part of the countryside here, liverey yard where horsey lives has eight hundred acres to ride out on with some fantastic scenery.

Hi Laura,
The eight hundred acres aren't mine I'm sad to say, it's just the farm where horsey lives. It's a working farm , goats and crops. There's about five of us that have a horse on liverey there plus the owners horses and several assorted rescue cases, also the breeding Fell ponies so about thirty horses altogether.
I'm pretty much a happy hacker with the odd bit of dressage and we do the ocassional fun ride just to keep the boys brain alert. Sorry to hear that Taz is poorly, hope she gets better soon. She's got a lovely kind face in your avatar.
Where do you do the driving ?

Hi Jinglejoys,
errrr........ they're just goats, the kind that get milked, make a lot of noise, and escape out of their barns a lot ..... Lol ! I'll have to ask if they are any particular breed and let you know.
Laura,
Next time you get your adrenaline junkie fix I'll have to come and watch, the FoD isn't far and Chepstow isn't either. You do Trec as well, often fancied having a go at that, wish Kelly would do a taster course locally. What's it like ?
The livery yard is wonderful, we support and encourage each other and there's always help on hand if things go pear shaped. It's down to the YO that I have my lad now as she found him for me after my shared horse passed on three years ago. Was looking for a been there, done it all safe hack and ended up with an ex-racing Arabian...........Duh ! Long, very long story........... I'll tell you about it sometime ...........!
Perhaps, when Taz is feeling more the thing, and if you fancy a day out , PM me and I'll give you all the ride hire costs, directions and details.

Hi Laura,
Was Taz the sad, young and abused horse ? You get brownie points for having no will power and coming home with a rescue case. Must be some truth in that old saying that our horses find us.
Nope, my lads not related to the Pearl Island Arabs, well, not from the quick look at them that I've had but if you go back far enough you start to see the same names crop up in the bloodlines.
Ex racer and fun in the same sentence.............Lol.......... Took a while to get him out of 'toe in stirrup means va va vrooooooommmmmmmmmm.........' Actually, most of the time he's a perfect gent and gives the lie to the saying that all Arabs are nutcases, wouldn't change him for the world.
Have you had any tests/results yet about Taz's ovary ?

Hi PL *whispers so OH can't hear* I have 6 in total but shhhh that's a BIG SECRET!!! lol!! how I've ended up with so many is completely beyond me, they come here for some tlc and R&R and I'm meant to either hand them back to owners or rehome but it never happens and they stay living the life of riley ;D the two in my avatar are Sec A yearling monsters - from the meat man. my big lad is a DWB - came here in a real mess - I'm actually making the hard decision to loan him on now he's fit and well again my other big horse is a TB ex SJ er - he's an absolute sweetie my veteran pony is actually my sons - he came to sort out some handling problems and just stayed because he's wonderful then there's a little pony with appalling sweetitch - he's come for general rest & chill out whilst getting his SI under control... oh and I've got little harvey babysitting the sec A's for a couple of months too phew - now even writing all of that was hard work...... ;D

Hi Amarche,
That sounds like a proper herd you've got there, hope your OH can't count ! They must keep you pretty occupied. Haven't had time to come on here as mine's had me on the hop for a few days due an injury. One gives me a headache, how do you manage with six of them ?
Laura, Nice picture of Taz and interesting looking saddle you've got there.
How is Taz ?
