Yep, I've just started and it's the most fun I've ever had on a horse. I've done spins and rollbacks!! I live in Chichester.

hi why do u want to re-train from western into english? Western is so harmonous flowing and balanced, the pony will understand the slightest gentle touch from your hand non of this all pulled up with reigns, the turns and natural self carriage is lovely - have u tried to learn western before you start changing the pony? just a thought as now I have gone western I wouldnt want to go english again myself.....let me know how you are getting on ....

Chichester, not too far....does this mean you are in Area 8 of AQH if member? I have just joined but no one speaks or sends me stuff would like to know more Western riders it gets a bit out there on our own when learning.....My youngster is in training bought her a year ago and did a lot of ground work thanks Kelly for what I learnt on the courses; tarpalin works well...ha. anyway luckily a friend locally is also learning and looking to buy a quiet AQH or paint to learn on....so at least us two will have company but we are very much beginners and not sure where to go to meet others suppose will have hitch up and go to a clinic hey. What do you then, how did you start out with all t his...?

Hey, i ride western quite a bit but have decided its high time i learnt properly!! I have booked a lesson with what seems to be a great instructor. In the future i will be doing clinics at my yard for groups of people, is anyone interested? I have my own IH type training yard under practical horsemanship (Grant Bazin and Dan Wilson)

Hey your yard sounds really interesting. I am travelling 2 hrs there and 2 hrs back to Susie Andersons' place at Mayfield do u know her? this is just for 1 hr lesson, but there aren't many people around doing Western. Junct 9 sounds ok. Where did u learn Western? I have my own school and land at home so there is a possibilty here too if I knew more people. A friend of mine is looking to buy a sensible AQH, Paint or Corillo; she needs a one great at hacking as also new to Western...so once she finds one which is also difficult then we would like more lessons too....interested in what you have to say...thanks

Hi Dani I am riding my mare western - and would also like to learn to do it properly. Where and who is the instructor you have booked with? You are not far from me and I would be interested in a get together for a western riding clinic. Isi

I live nr Farnham Surrey not far from Guildford, or even Alton ...excellent riding here, if anyone nr I have a school and would like to hack quiet like with my youngster who is now backed and training Western....I'm thinkin of doing a 3 day Steve Halfpenny workshop, natural horsemanship in June Lymington he a bit like mix like M.Roberts Mark Rashid etc...I also have grazzing available now topped my haymaking paddock turned into 4 post and rail fencing paddocks, auto water one field shelter for storage plus woodland, smashing sand tracks hacking anyone interested....I would like like-minded people u dont have to be western riders though..ha just grass livery afraid...use of school too....anyway, if anyone lives nr me and would like to meet up email me: angiet8282@aol.com or interested in the paddocks...
