If you're looking for somewhere a bit special you could try Hornsbury Mill. Which is a 19th century watermill near Chard now a hotel and resturant. I went there yesterday and had a lovely meal. There is a clear glass wall in the dining room so you can watch the watermill turning while you eat which is a bit different. I did see a New Years eve menu but can't remember the prices. It was quite posh but the staff were friendly and welcoming. Menus and prices are available on their website. www.hornsburymill.co.uk
