thanks for all the info- thanks smudge for the Jesus one!I think mine would have been slightly different!lot of mixed emotions about the foals- up that they are ok and it will be nice to have foals, down at the extra responsibility they bring , especially for sarah at the moment.also only planning on have one rescue then having 2 (my own fault) . and having to possibly separate the foals from the mothers. too soft and stupid for my own good.

tell you what- hadnt realised what an extremely pretty horse bonita is- even if her head does look bigger than her body!she also seems to be "softer" in her stance, could be my imagination.I know I go on but its down to Sarah not me, shes put the hard work in not me, she just rolls her eyes at me( bonita not sarah..)

well we had the farrier do the first trim under sedation, but I have been rasping them myself since,so that a) it gives me more time to get her eady to cope with the farrier, and b) to get her used to the whole thing, rather than just picking her feet up! I bet Lancia has dinner plates doesnt she?!

Dinner plates are a bit of an undestatement, lol!! Although they are definately getting better than they were when I got her. Just it is taking sometime to make up for the long term neglect however we will get there in the end.

Went to the pub with friend one night, my mate was on foal watch so was living in a caravan next to the stable She nipped home for a cup of tea and when she came back I had called in to see how it was going and asked her what sex her foal was Her reaction was what foal it wasnt born yet and there standing next to his mum was a pretty black colt so inspite of sitting there for weeks she missed the foaling in a 20 min trip for a cuppa
