These pics were taken yesterday . Shiraz and Merlot were dropped off very late the night before ,so I didnt know what to expect when reaching their little field the next morning but they were fine. They were extremely friendly ,especially Shiraz the Bay and were happy to take carrots and be stroked. They are also extremely affectionate with each other too. Apart from quite a lot of scars , they are better condition than I thought apart from their feet! Our other horses are looking on from afar, not too impressed! Today they are more confident than ever and more affectionate and quite playful -kicking a bucket around .(forgot my camera of course)! They are so sweet natured and I think beautiful too. Think though we have double trouble ahead!!!- but so glad they are here!

OK, tears streaming down my face again. Thank you so much for being the hope they didn't know they'd lost. I know they will but I truly believe that in some way they will be as important to you as you are and have been to them, no small feat... thabnk you so much, they are beauties.

Thank you so much Lucy and everyone. You are right. This has been a stressful but incredible experience.
I cant believe how trusting these two seem already(although we havent done much with them yet)-just a little brush today. They have already given us so much pleasure , watching them play and following us around they are so incredible.
There is also such an air of gentle nobleness about them too.
Not sure about the scares.Shiraz has no problems having his face touched.Merlot the other has a rope scar around part of his neck!
Goodness knows what they have been through , but hopefully these two are young enough to put it behind them
They have a home for life and I feel honoured to have them here.
