....I've just spent an hour or so on the Equine Section site and feel totally helpless. I can offer a home to a heavy (I say a heavy as that's what I am!! Also, with having TC I am experienced with heavies) and can manage the monthly expenses of another but don't have the fund to outlay at once to buy No point really to this post except to say I think everyone who is rallying to help these poor horses are absolutely wonderful!!

Hi sarah, I'm over here in France locating where these horses are, some in fattening yards, some abused and some purely bred for meat. The heavies are plentiful and if you can give me some idea of height and height breed etc I can tell you what is in need of saving. Thank you, Trina

Well, I would love a Norman Cob or Trait Breton (or similar) any height but would need to be weightcarrying as I am a "voluptuous" rider!! Preferably broken and calm but would consider unbroken too.
Would really love to save one of these poor horses, it's breaking my heart....

Oooh, yes Ardennes are gorgeous. TBH *any* weight-carrying heavy would do. I only wish we could save them all.
Have the national press been contacted about them and the massive effort being made to save as many as possible? We should raise awareness any way we can....
