In foal mares are on the lorry!

Just to let you know the all the in foal mares are now on their way home! ;D

Sarah has spoken to Veronica who has collected them and she said they were fine a bit nervous and scared as they were
in a corral and then herded into a race for the farmer to put their
headcollars on,but they all led on quietly and seem very sweet.

So welshcob and sixfoot blond, I think these are your babies!!!!

Yep great news. I've also had confirmation that they set off OK.

So glad to hear all went well with loading them.

Breaks my heart to think of all the ones to come that won't be saved but at least we made a difference to these ones lives

Bad news,about in foal mares I'm afraid.The weather is awful at the docks and the ferry has been cancelled.the transporter is going to carry on and try and make the dover crossing instead,meaning that even if its not cancelled the poor things will have an extra 3 hour drive to get there.Why is this happening? haven't they been through enough?feel so sad for them.Just hope they can get on a ferry to dover.will let you know.

just heard from veronica again,she has been told that she wont be able to get the calais to dover ferry either,apparently they are still sailing but they wont let livestock on as it is too rough.She has stabled them with afriend over there and assures me they are all fine and will be well cared for.Unfortunately due to her other commitments she wont be able to bring them back till monday now when she goes for the others.At least they wont be having a rough crossing.Just hope this stupid weather improves by then,is this really july?!

No worries Sarah. We are ready whenever Just want to find out a bit more about her as we have no idea how big she is. Someone mentioned 16hh at the start

not sure how big she is but judging by the price and the pic I would say def not 16hh,maybe 14.2hh I would guess.Will update you when I have more info on them but wouldnt be surprised if I dont hear a lot till monday now.
