Yes sadly I think there is little chance of her foal being born, they are going to send her as soon as they can as she is heavy. We need to know by this afternoon if someone would like her. I have worked out inc vat and transport her price is £1040 ish

how wonderful is this DG? Saving so many of these wonderful horses from slaughter. In a few years when I am on the other side of uni, I hope I will be able to be as selfless as you are all being

Enlighten me please? Does that also mean her unborn foal is safe or will she have it and then be saved by herself, sorry?

What heartwarming threads about these horses being saved in Dept 41. The mare is very much the stamp of Diane's Duke ( who now stands 16.2 - 16.3 hh) and she may well be a Cob Normande? If so she should be a real sweetie and he is a very good, comfortable riding horse

It's great that wonderful people on here have managed to save a few, but surely we should be devoting some energy toward stopping the live meat trade - is there anyone that we can write to or email? Surely if we all acted together we could get this sort of trade some really national / international publicity - the British public would probably be up in arms about killing a mare in foal because the meat tastes better - is there something we can do?
