I'm sure she'll settle soon. Her stressing does tend to point towards thoroughbred :-)

yes i recon she is TB, ive just gone out there with a bucket she stood there and ate it whilst i held it for her, let me stroke her face for ages. but shes taken herself up the end into a corner and is just circling asif shes dreaming of horse walkers, tell u what at this rate she will be fit in no time muscle wise. shes not calling out no more though, dont get me wrong she is alet and quite chuffed about her surroundings but i can see from the head spinning she wants to play, shes only 8 by the way not 10, although she looks like a 2 year old that needs to fill out and thats been starved, all leg no shoulders and hips like a ILPH Case. feel so bad for her poor girl.

Whewww i just run out to check shes still there and not pegged over the fence, and she is. Infact shes actually stood still grazing. So thank god shes showing signs of settling down now. I hope shes happy, she does look happy although i can see shes really missing company and just wants to play, she does this constant 20mtre circling and spins her head just like the foals do when trying to get mums attention asif to say come play. So maybe shes just really happy lets pretend thats it sounds good to me.

Hi Lisa,
At least she ate and let you stroke her! As you know lancia wouldn't let me do that initially! I am sure it won't take her longto realise se has got such a wonderful new mummy and she will settle down. Make sure you keep us updated.

Well its the next day. I was checking up until i went to bed that she was still there, and she was and still is whewww. Ive just gone out shes still circling the same patch (grounds turning abit brown) can see excalty where shes been, doesnt seem to leave that top corner atal. Anyway just gave her breakfast, she ate that whilst i held it for her and let me stroke her face. She got a stunning face she really has.I managed to entice her to walk back down with me which she did but ran of back to her corner when i reached the other side (abit far she thought) She really is a small horse in every way, reminds me of a polo pony, very light in the bone and looks like shed fly. i was watching her watching me.
Niki you were bang on about her missing a friend if she didnt before she certainly does now,she did call out last night it looked like it was to me but i think it was the old friends really. Cant wait for isolation to end then i can let my boys know shes here. How long do you think i should keep her isolated? ive heard 2 weeks 3 weeks, ive read if she has anything it will come out in the 1st 24/48 hours of picking up anything. Shes going to go dizzy bless her. Shes prob a box walker too. xx

Hi Lisa
Glad Amour is home safely. I'm sending her lots of hugs and healing (((vibes))).
She's had a long journey and it's all strange to her so it will take a while for her to settle. Just keep loving her and providing a reassuring and consistent presence. Once she realises she is going to get fed regularly, have equine and human company, and be loved, she'll start to settle.

Hi Lisa, how is she today, my first horse did this when she first came, she just paced up and down in a line for around 3 days, I was so worried, then all of a sudden she just stopped, and she had company in the field at that time. xxxx

Oh Lisa bless you dont fret hon, she is home now and the worst is over, dont forget shes been kept in a big herd of horses at the farm and its scary now for her being alone and all these people are speaking English to her Even if she drops more weight for 3 weeks thats all it will be and then she can have friends and really start to relax and chill and start to heal. Pictures pictures pictures x x
