For those of you who read my thread at the beginning of the month about Silco rearing and plunging about when being turned out, I just thought you might like an update. She's been much better recently anyway (phew!) because of the good weather, being turned out 24/7 and now being allowed a normal sized paddock where she can stretch her legs, but of course my mind still works overtime thinking about what she could do, might do, etc etc. You know what I mean!! Anyway, Sue Brown (RA) came out yesterday and we worked on leading in the area in front of the paddock where we had the problems. Silco was really good and started listening straight away, as long as I could remember all the things Sue was telling me to do. No more snatching at grass and pulling me all over the place! Even better, Silco was still the same in the evening when I took her in and out again. Fandabbidosi, what a difference )))). Next thing, shopping for a dually and loads of practice! I'm also going to go on one of Sue's courses, then she'll visit again to help me relax when riding in the field.

Thanks Boozefich, hopefully we've turned a bit of a corner now. Still a long way to go but at least it's in the right direction!

That's great. What a great help that must have been. I think we get so isolated in our problems, it can seem almost impossible to address. Well done.
