Ooooh dear what a disaster yesterday nearly turned into! Me and Mum decided to go riding yesterday- just a little potter as she has had an awful week. Ebony was playing up and been an absolute terror and Bailey was standing like a little gem (aww bless). So we decide that Mum will have Bail and ill have Ebony. On we get. Ebony a little demon as we walk down the field. "OH MY GOD THERES A BIRD AND ITS IS GOING TO KILL ME".. that sort of thing every 5 paces. He eventually settles and starts working really well. Bailey however started off like a little angel and then decided to be the horse from hell. Mum wont ride him through his strops as he is awful (she had her knee replacement a couple years ago at 45 so isnt wanting it broken!) so we swopped. Bounce. Bounce. Buck. Bouncy Rear. Buck. Bounce. Bounce. Spook. ARRRRGGGHHHH This is a horse who is usually so laid back hes horizontal. Vertical seemed to be the favourite yesterday. After 20mins of been a little demon he started work in a nice outline in trot and canter. By this point he was a little bit tired and had gone back to lovely Bailey. I nearly had a nervous breakdown once I got off but managed to get him through his evil horse phaze better than I usually do. Once I had been on for a minute and just had to concentrate on breathing (and singing some horrible song!) I wasnt nervous atall and he went well. The two little terrors..

Look at them - both have got a "butter wouldn't melt..." look on their faces! Well done for riding through what sounds like a pretty eventful ride KtK! It is amazing the difference the breathing makes isn't it?
Hope your next ride is perhaps just a little bit calmer... And that your mum is okay too.
