Been to Boz's today, had a fantastic time, went up on to the moor, first time for alfie and me, and it was brill. We cantered all really controlled , no bronco billy, just a well behaved young man, Thanks Boz, Falco is brill. We had the best time. There will be no getting rid of us now ;D. By the way, Boz makes the best cheese and ham toasties ever. in a very novel way . love the goat, although i can still smell him . yeay we did it wwwwoooooooooooooo, hhhhhhhhooooooo.

You forgot to say - you brilliantly crossed over a dual carriage way with large lorries Zooming underneath you, stayed on when my 20year old Falco got a serious spook when the large rock developed legs and horns and stood up, and Alfie followed, you passed sheep and llamas - without even blinking. And all this after travelling to a strange place and with a strange horse.
And he was quite happily turned out in a strange paddock to graze.
Well done the pair of you, you have done it once - next time it will be easy. if the weather is good it has to be Meldon resevoir and I will meet you there with a picnic and my dogs and we will go and have a look at Yes Tor.
First of many Rach and as I said you are welcome to come over anytime at all. And don't forget Matt would love to join us for a day on Mac so if you are free on a weekend or a thursday/friday at end of May he will be up for it aswell
So once more ------- brilliant, well done and huge pat on the back to you and your boy

no problem at all - bring Shar over. The more the merrier. I would love to come out with you both if that's Ok. May have to bring Mac rather than Falco - or if I have my little hairy - would probably try him out.
We ought to try and see how far towards Yes Tor we can get from Belstone.
Keep planning hun - the more you do the easier you will fine it, and you are now on a roll. He is a fabulous horse, sane, sensible and a real cool dude for one so young and he will only get better. SO keep it up and see you back on the moor in a couple of weeks

Hi if you fancy traveling further afield come and see me and explore Princetown Yelverton and Merrivale. a pub stop is obligatory - to rest the horses.

birch - how about a dartmoor meet up for all of us local Dartmoor people. We often park up above Tavistock and ride around the moors there.
I haven't been to Princetown riding so that would be good for us - and I know my OH would appreciate the pub stop ;D

How about a meet up based on Princetown. Parking is big enough for horse transport but also central for those who hack to it, and central for two, poss three pubs!!!! Ride to a pub then come back for a valedictory jar at the Plume

this is starting to sound like a plan!!!!! ;D. I'd love to come, and i know leah, vickie and shar would like to as well. weekends are pretty manic up until june but after that i'm free. Farrier bin, shiny new shoe's. and the day is looking pretty sunny, so off we go again. ment to be spending the week moving out of our house, but hey how long can it take . riding is much more important. be good to get up to yes tor Boz, my farrier gave me good piece of advice for the moor, if your horse takes off you are never very far from a hill, point him at it , and he promised me i would run out of horse before i ran out of moor. typical man, but kind of made sence, in my odd little head.

You are so lucky. I spent my childhood near the moor and spent hours riding there, mostly on my own. I love the moor and even though I don't ride now I breed Dartmoor ponies.
