jumping for the first time in 5 years!!!!

Well..I did it..I jumped my girl for the first time in 5 years..and got it on video to prove it.

For those who don't know..I had a nasty accident at 15, when I was overhorsed in a lesson (before I got Crystal) and she just took off with me...she went over the jump and I went onto the floor....she then stood on my head..I still have the scar from her hoof to this day in my eyebrow. I woke up 3 days later in hospital...I haven't been a confident jumper since.

Anyway..here's me, and Crystal jumping a couple of little fences today..just cos we can!

Thanks. That fall was over 14 years ago..I got Crystal the following summer. I did do a couple of very small one day events...but that's 10 years ago..and like I sadi, I haven't jumped anything at all for 5 years...but somethig today just said..come on, you can do it!

We were having a ball...Crystal can get a little excited (you'd think she was 2..not 21) and can rush things..but today, she was an angel!

js...I am quite proud of myself! I don't like wine, but had a very large Martini and Lemonade (my usual thing to keep me calm!..I used to have one before going into show rings) and still felt chuffed!

Hi madmare, thanks for pointing this thread out to me. What a horrific accident and how wonderful you have jumped again, and how brave, immensely well done. Jumping is what I'm working on too, maybe we should start a club! Lovely videos, just how it should be - lots of fun. Keep it up xxx
