Hi Everyone,
Just had to share this! My confidence seems to be growing each time I hack him out. We went on another diffferent ride and walked along the side of lots of open fields. In one field we had to go through the middle. We had to undo 2 gates also! toddy was in front and saw a monkjack and bolted off with Laura my heart went in my mouth for a second as I thought now its my turn and Hannibal just stood there staring at it! meanwhile poor Laura fell off (not hurt thankfully) and Toddy wouldn't come over. We were panicing as the road was nearby so I quietly asked Hannibal to walk towards Toddy. Toddy then stood so Laura could get back on. I was so pleased with him! Thought it was my turn to go onto the ground! Then we went past a bucking donkey and a lama! Hannibal has never seen a lama before and only recently met a donkey. He stared at it but when i reassured him he kept on walking :-) We also had a little canter after trotting on a grass verge in which he jumped two ditches we didn't see!! I'm so pleased with him! :-)

Wow, well done kt and Hannibal! To face another horse bombing off and getting loose, a llama and a donkey with no problems at all, what superstars you both are. You must be grinning from ear to ear.

Thanks! He is a star really its just I have confidence issues. You lot help me loads!! Yeh I was actually laughing when he jumped the ditches!!not sure if it was nerves or generally laughter!Yeh I have to admit we did come across loads of scary things!oh and a growling dog which I thought was going to bite Hannibal's legs it was horrible. Ran on to the road and basically threatened us - it was a nasty dog! Hannibal was calmer than me! I think he would have just kicked the dog if it tried to bite :-)

Yes we have those to - I find it helps to keep facing said growling dog and actually going towards it saying to owner in very loud voice my horse will kick your dog if he gets underneath!

The owner wasn't around unfortunately. It came flying out of the farm yard.
