I thought I'd ask - this is the sort of area where I feel I can be more useful but I don't want to be one of those dreadful, overbearing know-it-alls. So, does anyone mind me contributing on a more 'specialist' basis here or should I just butt out?

Everyone is welcome Wendy!
I have always worked on the basis that any idea is a good idea, so all suggestions are of use. It is up to the individual to decide what advise to try out ;D
Ooh, I am excited, and feel quite privileged that we have got this section on the board ;D ;D ;D ;D

Wendy - you can be helpful anywhere - your input is always wise and wonderful:-)))
Everyone suffers from a loss of confidence at some point - it might be I don't want to get on and ride my horse - or it might be jumping above 2ft - it really doesn't matter. I have certainly been there, although thankfully not at the moment:-)

Great stuff. I hope our sub-division is a fluent one that can be dipped into when anyone (including courageously galloping lasses etc) need a lift.

Can I play too! Im having a few confidence issues due to not riding really for 12 months due to popping out babies! Have recently moved my lad to a much nicer yard and have just had a sit on, a walk around and a very short hack! My biggest fear is being carted off.... he is rather a big strong lad. SO if anyone (Wendy included) has any tips for me I'd be more than happy to take them on board! Cheers x
