Varkie - that little hairy on the right hand side is adorable, is that the little babe born a wee while ago or a new one? That's the little one born a few weeks ago - 5 1/2 weeks I think. We are still waiting for foalie No 2 to put in an appearance. Though I do have to confess that I have recently (three days ago) bought another yearling!

Tsk, Tsk and your own small humanoid on the way as well! I was waiting with baited breath for you to see the offer of the mini blue roan on the members forum, if only he wasn't entire eh??
What have you bought then, have you any pictures yet, mmmm??

Yup, if that roan hadn't been entire, I could have been tempted. But I don't want an entire roan colt, and besides, have no idea of his lines - and I'm very careful about the lines etc of the ones we'll breed from.
The little colt we've just bought is a yearling blue dun - he's lovely. Nice little chap, nice movement, nice head & eye, good conf, sweet temperament - tho he does know what his bits are for! Plus he's from two nice parents, good bloodlines - dad doing well in showring.
I do have pics, but he's still VERY hairy, so am waiting for him to get into summer coat before 'going public'!

Am I just being stupid or was Joe the judge in Bittys class, sorry that's just how it's seeming, really confusing meeee! Quite a few judges I've spoken to have Stallions on a "Minus mark" when they first enter the class, for the sole reason that if these boys were considered so special (conf/temp all of it) that they were kept entire to pass their genes on they need to prove themselves to the judge in this way, no good just being a "nice pony" etc they need to be worth it if that makes sense?? And then of course you get the judges who see a Stally and think oh well that had better be my winner...
