I think I wrote a bit in the showing section as well, but just to let all of you know who have given me advice - Brannock and I went to our first show at the weekend and came second in the youngstock class!!!!! I am so proud of him, he was such a good boy. Sandra and Daisy were such a help, and Lou and Tim came to support us. I didn't know how Bran would react to it all but he was such a good boy! So thanks so much to all those who helped me, we wouldn't have done it without you! and I'm off to find another show nearby! Think we may have some photos soon...

You beat us to it! We were supposed to be posting a thread for you, but I had to leave Tim in charge of it yesterday as I was at Hartsop - and of course, being a man, he didn't manage it!! Brannock was a really good boy - and he is so handsome and well behaved he really did stand out in the ring! The judge was obviously struggling to decide between 1st and 2nd too as she kept looking backwards and forwards between them, so it was a very close run thing! The smile on Kirsty's face as she turned in to line up (after the initial thought I think that was 'Is this being done in reverse order?!!') was fantastic - a very proud Mum there! She will have to practise keeping hold of the rosette though when they do their next lap of honour! Perhaps it is time for Bran to practise wearing red and blue ribbons on his bridle now (no need to bother with any other colours!!!). I do think your groom needs to get a bit more experience though as she is obviously new to this showing business and was obviously overwhelmed by the whole Lambourn Carnival Horse Show experience, which is understandable! ;-) LOL!! We do have some pics, but I will have to wait for Tim to sort them out before any can get posted up here as I don't do things like that! All in all it was a fab day and it was lovely to meet Sandra, Daisy and, of course it was an even greater pleasure to meet Brannock (who I know has a very proud Mum)! We will forward pics shortly! Lou
