I've broken my dartmoor mare into driving and am looking at doing some driving classes at some local shows this year. My mare is 11.2hh and fully black, her harness is black synthetic with brss fittings and the cart is the shetland size one from robinsons (also black, but with silver wheels).
Classes that are in the shows are:
junior whip 17 and under (a deffinate one i'm entering as i'm 16)
exercise vehicle (another i am also thinking about entering)
pleasure driving
concours d'elegance
The problem is i've never done any driving classes so have no idea which classes we can enter, what we should be turned out like or what we are to do in the ring for each class. Can anyone give me any ideas?

I really wish I could help but I have NO idea on driving what so ever, all I can say is for the concours d'elegance class you have to be very smart

Couldyou join the British Driving Society? you could then get advice on turnout and class requirements from them. Also they hold ralleys which are great fun and teach you a lot good luck
